He received his first education in his village’s Primary School, he finished the 6-grades Boys’ Secondary School of Kozani in 1941 and he graduated from the Pedagogical Academy of Thessaloniki in 1944, where he received the Teacher's Degree. As a teacher, he served for 17 years in Aiani of Kozani, 16 years in Kozani’s Primary Schools, the 7th and the 5th, while in the last two years of his 35-years’ service, he was a Deputy Inspector of Primary Schools in the Educational Region of Kozani.. As director of schools, he played a leading part in the construction of schools in Aiani and of the 7th Primary School of Kozani and he worked hard for:
a) the spreading of greenery through the creation of school gardens and reforestation
For the protection of antiquities, he cultivated the archaeological conscience of Aiani’s students and inhabitants, so that they would become guardians and protectors of the cultural heritage monuments. From Kozani, he toured all around the county and he recorded all the archaeological sites and monuments. Working for 32 years in the Letters and Arts Association of Kozani as a founding member, as a member of the Administrative Board and during the last 20 years as Chairman, working alone and with several others, he created the Historical – Folklore and Natural History Museum of Kozani and the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle on mount Bourinos in the region of Chromio, where the 1878 revolt broke out for the rescue of Macedonia from Pan-Slavism. At the same time, he contributed to the founding of folklore associations in the prefecture and to the preservation of habits and customs. He wrote several books on local history, folklore, archaeology, habits and customs. The books published so far are:
Since 1980, he was the editor of all the Association’s publications (55 in total) and of the annual periodical publication of “ΔΥΤΙΚΟΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΙΚΑ ΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΑ” (Western-Macedonian Letters), a journal with contributors from all over Western Macedonia on all topics, where he himself published various essays. Several libraries of the country and of the expatriate Greeks have been enriched with complimentary copies of these publications. For his overall activity and social altruistic offering for 55 years, several honorary distinctions have been awarded to K. Siabanopoulos from various social bodies and ministries; the golden medal of the Municipality of Aiani and the golden medal of the municipality of Kozani, the Athens Academy Award, and from the President of the Republic, the "Grand Commander of the Order of Honour" in 1988.He passed away on 25th November 2005
