Location:  
Brief Description: Deciduous shrub, 1-3 metres high. Compound palmate leaves with 5-7 leaflets. Lanceolate leaflets with smooth margins and whitish underneath surface. Whitish to blue-violet flowers, 6-10 or more in dense cymes. The fruit is drupe. It bears flowers from June until September.

Particular Features: The chaste tree?s branches are very flexible and are used in basket-weaving. Its wood is used in fine-woodcarving. The tisane of its leaves has styptic properties. It is also cultivated as ornamental.
